If you go through the C:/Windows file (it's very large with lots of files in it) and then find the file called ServicePackFiles. Then you go to i386. If you sort through there, you should be able to find MovieMaker file and the reinstall should work.

C:\Windows\ServicePackFiles\i386

I had to browse for it myself, I couldn't just insert the above filepath.

Re: XP: How to Reinstall Windows Movie Maker

I don't have CD...What to do!!!!

Re: XP: How to Reinstall Windows Movie Maker

Yeah, that's the thing, had to figure it out, but got it done

Re: XP: How to Reinstall Windows Movie Maker

Thanks man! this worked. twas trying to re-install it ever since.

Re: XP: How to Reinstall Windows Movie Maker

Try C:\Windows\ServicePackFiles\i386 - moviemk.inf exists there too on my machine.

Re: XP: How to Reinstall Windows Movie Maker

exactly. can anyone answer this question? :(

Re: XP: How to Reinstall Windows Movie Maker

What if you don't have the Windows XP CD ?

Re: XP: How to Reinstall Windows Movie Maker

5 stars...
