This doesn't solve the problem. Whenever I re-open Word, it sets everything right back. Where is the template file located and what's it called?

Agreed. It was not easy figuring out why it insisted on making it "(Body)", and find & replace doesn't match if it's tagged as such.

Can someone please help me?!? I've tried doing exactly as instructed but everytime I reopen Word it defaults back to Calibri. Why won't it allow me change the default?

Next to where you open the font window, you can open a window called Paragraph, where you can set your line spacing. Make sure it is single-spaced, with 0pt before and after. If you want a little bit more space between the lines without it being obviously double-spaced, you can add points in the before and after fields to give just that little extra room between lines.

when open ms word 2007 font launcher dialog box contains two types of fonts. one, latin and other, complex script. when working with complex script what is the effect of lain font and is it necessary to make changes in latin also when working on Hindi.

But Times New Roman 12 - Regular - shows up as Calibri onscreen...Changing it ti Italic or Bold or 11, or 13 is OK.

I have the same problem. I tried changing the default style, but that changes the font, which you then have to change. I set all defaults, the font stays, but the style doesn't. The style always defaults back to Normal, no matter what I do. I don't know what the point of having Set Default Style is if it doesn't set anyway.

If anybody can tell me how to actually change the style, I'd really appreciate it.

Glad to get rid of Calibri though!

It didn't work for me, but at last I've done it! Under "Search programs and files" type "Templates". A window opens listing a number of templates, including "Normal". Open that, change the font to whatever you want and save it. You need never see Calibri again!

I did it, several times. But when I click on the Normal icon, everything changes to Calibri. I even deleted the Calibri font, to no effect.

When I follow these steps to change to Times New Roman, 12 font, it reverts back to Calibri when Word is re-opened.

I changed it in Word, but Outlook brings still 'Calibri' as default?
