I'm experimenting with using google docs/gmail/calendar/contacts as an ad-hoc CRM system. The "myname+notes@gmail.com" thing works really well. I didn't know that both &lt;a href="http://my.name" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank" title="my.name"&gt;my.name&lt;/a&gt;@gmail and myname@gmail worked, either.
