  • Nice document, well written.

    Some bit are like a wall of text.
    Could be formatted slightly differently to make it more readable.
  • Why don't you try to get the real mac address from prtpicl/prtconf ?

    "if this is the case, then manually set the MAC address of the second card to some unique address with the following command:

    ifconfig ce1 ether de:ad:be:ef:f0:0d"

    I think you forgot the "group" statement:
    "ifconfig ce1 server-int"
    "ifconfig ce0 server-int"

    If you use IPMP with test addresses it might also be a good idea to set some static routes in case the default gateway fails.
  • That's not multipathing.
