Facebook: How To Get Only Status Updates on Your FB Home Page
This was a signifigant help as it solved a bigger problem than just not wanting to see the NVIDIA context menu.
I was not able to right click my desktop for months after installing a new OS and all the drivers (including NVIDIA) and other apps. Dr. Watson Post Mortem debugger would pop up. There was too much to figure out what the problem was and I didn't find an answer until I found this article through the Jeeves search engine by once again looking for "can't right click on desktop".
This article finally resolved the problem. I was also not able to right click on the desktop or inside an Explorer directory or choose "File". After removing the specified NVIDIA registry entry now everything works like it should.
I have seen a ton of problems from programs adding items to the right-click context menu. I have no idea why XP is so sensitive to problems in this part of the registry.
Same here I had a problem like that once, whenever I right click the Dr. Watson Post Mortem debugger would come and then windows would freeze and I'd have to restart my computer all over again. Plus my registry got corrupted! So whenever I double clicked on a folder the search window opened up.
So I used to right click all the time (because I'd forget about Dr.Watson...) and ... the debugger would bug me again...
But after tweaking my registry everyting works perfectly fine now! Very helpful article!

Yes this is very true... especially if you have SP2 (at least that's what I think due to the amount of problems)!

I also hate when they do such things, because of this annoying item in context menu i had to wait for 3-5 seconds until my right click menu appeared on desktop!
