Instead of having to open each picture individually, I simply want picture attachments in Outlook 2007 to automatically display below the message (as they dalways did in Outlook Express).

Please send details on what settings to change to allow this to happen.

This worked for me other than the check/uncheck thing which was pretty easy to figure out. It's sad that I couldn't find out how to disable the attachment preview in the Outlook Help documentation. Sad, but not unprecedented, or unexpected. Thanks!

Close: you mean "check" the Turn off Attachment Preview checkbox, not "uncheck"

Does this really work? I turned off previewer but it still previews the freaking attachment
