Tech-Recipes: MySpace: Download Any Song for Free — Again! | MySpace | Tech-Recipes

Working again.
• Anonymous · 3 years ago
Yeah but unlike the old method, this always downloads them at 96kbps which is what they are streamed at. The old method could download them at higher quality. Say like they were uploaded at 192kbps then they could be downloaded at 192kbps. This is always 96 :(
• Anonymous · 3 years ago
they download and stream at 96kbps... have for a while. Back in the day they used to be at 128/192. As soon as you upload a file to MySpace a "bot" immediatly decodes and re-encodes them to 96kbps using the LAME encoding engine. Saves space and bandwidth for the servers.

@mouseindustries:
Yo man I don't care what anybody says. Your program pwn! If you can come up with just a couple more patches you're going to gain some serious legendary internet celebrity status as the guy who kept outsmarting MySpace. Do you still need hosting for it? PM me.

@Myspacesongs:
It's the ONLY program on the net that is even capable of downloading them! You act like the speed is intollerable. A song takes a few minutes to stream.
And then to try and compare it to a method that doesn't even work...
• Anonymous · 3 years ago
Yeah, excellent !
But the song is very long to download... it take aproximatly 10 - 15mn for me to download the entire song. Why ?

And an other question,
The old 128 / 192kbps mp3 in myspace, are they converted to 96kbps ?

(I'm french, so sorry if my english is bad)
• Anonymous · 3 years ago
Tried it today. Didn't work. I got "Could not retrieve a song list from Target ID. Please try again!" I tried 3 different users, same results.
• Anonymous · 3 years ago
Tried it today and it would download the first few seconds of the song but then it would say download completed... what the hell is wrong?
• Anonymous · 3 years ago
I've got the same problem :?
• Anonymous · 3 years ago
I keep getting an error message saying "sorry, the gopher couldn't convert the RTMP stream to an MP3 Try to redownload this song again later." i have been trying for a few days. what should i do? it says this for everyone i try.
• Anonymous · 3 years ago

I don't mean speed, I mean the KBPS, like I said, the QUALITY of the song. Think before you post.

when i go to download the song i want, i save it and everything but then after a few seconds into 'gathering information' it comes up with 'unable to find an RTMP server..try again in 27 seconds'. i've tried multiple times and it never works... how can i fix it??

Gopher is not working. It keeps hanging on unable to find rmtp server. Too bad as it looks like a cool program. Anyone know of a fix for it?
• Anonymous · 2 years ago
I've gotten to this point.

http://cache03-music01.myspacecdn.com/22/std_68...

The XML from the above poster even tells me that's the file name, and where to download it. However, in the end, it says "Access Denied."

Anything anyone can do?
• Anonymous · 2 years ago
The author found an old version of the Gopher that works!

http://www.mouseindustries.com/gopher/
• Anonymous · 2 years ago
I'm sure myspace probably patched it :x
• Anonymous · 2 years ago

katholmetal wrote:
I'm sure myspace probably patched it :x

If they patch it Gopher will not work, but there's site that can do the same, just go to http://www.myspace-3.com type a band name and click the links (or right-click and Save as...).

Works fine for me!

Due to legal problems, the creator of MySpace MP3 Gopher was forced to stop hosting the file on his website. You can, though, do a Google search for "MySpaceMp3Gopher.zip" and find other places to get the file. Here's one of them:

http://files.filefront.com/MySpaceMp3Gopherzip/...

In any case, I'd make sure to save the zip file someplace, because you might not be able to get it in the future.
