About a month ago I said "Doggone it! I'm sick of the bar staying on so long! I'm going to go online and find a way to get rid of it quicker. In the mean time I'm going to hit the 'clear' button." Now I find this useful article that I've given up looking for, but I'm used to the 'clear' button now so I may or may not try it. While I'm posting this first comment I wanted to say this is a cool website you have here (found while searching 'disable location firefox 4' and after only 20 minutes of perusing your articles) and I thank all you contributors for your well written articles.

actually, pressing the clear button will remove it equally well

Actually when the bar is on the screen and you won't it gone all you have to do is press play and it will immediately disappear. Of course, if you don't want to press play to get rid of it, you can do the code above. Just make sure to do the code again if you lose power on TIVO or software update, etc... The code and thus the function will be gone.
