I have done everything that has been suggested here and on Microsoft Help & Support as well as some suggestions from individuals and nothing has solved this problem . This was not happening when I first started using IE6 Windows XPSP2. Could it be that a MS update caused the problem? I have always installed them.

Re: IE6: Images Will Save Only as a Bitmap (*.bmp) | Windows | Tech-Recipes

Guest wrote:
In I.E. go to tools and select Internet Options. I still get the same problem. The only thing new that I've added to my computer is the XP service package 2. Would this have anything to do with pictures only being forced to save as bitmaps? I need help please. Thanks.

scaldw626@yahoo.com

Re: IE6: Images Will Save Only as a Bitmap (*.bmp) | Windows | Tech-Recipes

Thank you so much - this resolved my issue
