  • Hey there,

I highly recomend Daemon Tools - it is by far the easiest to use. It creates an artifical drive letter, and you can open nearly any bin/iso/cue file. It mounts the file image as a drive, and you can explore it at will.

I think they have previous windows versions, though I've honestly not checked.

  • Currently using DaemonTools to open a .cue file (Hustle & Flow the movie) and I mount the image from my desktop using E: drive and nothing happens.... other than 4 folders titled EXT, SEGMENT, MPGEAV, VCD which all have files I can not open or are recognized by my pc 6 .VCD files and 2 .DAT files
  • These maybe really stupid questions but i'm bout to go loopy tryin to figure it out on my own.....I Have Alcohol 120 and Nero Ultra 6/vision express 3. I can't get nero to burn my bin/cue files. I have used this before with vcd/svcd and it worked well now i am tryin to burn to dvdr. Can i not do this with Alcohol? My nero gives errors that file is not recognized. When i try to burn with nero using avi or mpg it also gives that error. I tried to burn vob file using nero it gives error that it can't read the gog or oggs what ever they are i haven't a clue. Is my system missing codecs or something? Before i forget, on somethings my alcohol seems like it's goin to work but then asks for a blank disc, i make sure one is in and it reconizes there is an empty dvd but still does nothing....I have tried everything i know PLEEEAAASSSSE help. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated!! trixi
  • i downloaded alchohol and it says it will install scsi pass through direct sptd layer on my computer and its not compatible with kernal debuggers, should i be worried, bcuz ive heard it will mess with the kernal and mess things up?
  • Well damon tools and alcohol 120 are great programs for there respective purposes but in all actuality to simply open an iso file or other such as mentioned in the begining of this post, simply use winrar!!!!
  • I use MagicDisc to mount iso image or create iso image. It is freeware and works great. MagicISO can also do that, It is a good iso creator.

You can usually open the MPGEAV or VCD in win.media, but if not try winamp
it should work, but if it doesn't, your comps messed up.
  • i'm having the same problem,i'm using DaemonTools to open a .cue file for a movie and I mount the image but nothin happen but 4 files with the extensions EXT, SEGMENT, MPGEAV, VCD which i cannot open plz help.
  • You are looking at a video DVD. You just need a program that will played a mounted DVD.
  • I recently downloaded a game - it says that it's an iso file, but I can't open it using MagicIso or PowerIso. I only needed something to extract the files in the image, but I tried to mount it too. I used Daemon Tools and I also tried a small program for windows, but in each case it apears an error message with the title "Disk is not formatted" and it says "WIndows cannot read from this disk. The disk might be corrupted or it could be using a format that is not compatible with Windows". There is also a dll file in the downloaded folder - I guess it's for the installed game, but I replaced it anyway in system32 folder. Still not working. Please help
  • oof, you might have just downloaded a virus, sorry dude. nothing EVER will ask you to replace ANYTHING in your (main drive):/windows/system32 folder cause the only thing in that specific folder that's .dll is all your windows OS (Operating System) drivers which are all very important...unless you want a very expensive brick.
  • Thank you for this useful informations.
  • i use PowerIso to open the files and put them on a virtual drive works great
  • Power ISO player is also best , because it is doesnot require any CD burner and save lot of time. try it and enjoy.
