... only if you adversely affect interstate commerce. 8-}
If it is, we better go arrest everyone at Yahoo, Google, DogPile, HotBot, etc. etc.... and their bots, too.

I have almost filled up my iPOD through this method. Sure, you find some damaged and mislabelled files... but you experience that with P2P programs as well.

You can... but the chances of it working is low yield. Most places have index browsing disabled. The reason this google search works is that so many people do not know how to correctly set the permissions.

Funny you should mention this actually, as I have just searched my computer for "dsc*.jpg" using Windows search. This shows up all the pictures taken on my Sony Ericsson w800 and all the pictures taken on my Fuji Digital camera...

simple query such as filetype:xls inurl:"email.xls" can be surprisingly effective, finding Excel spreadsheet called email.xls
just query Google for intitle: "curriculum vitae" "phone * * * " "address *" "e-mail". Finding
contact information in the form of names, phone number and email addresses is equally easy

With wList, you can create a list of all the MP3 songs on your hard disk or on a CD or DVD. To listen to any MP3 file on the list, just double-click it. wList allows you to immediately access the folders which contain the files you found. You can use this feature to help organize your music files.
