I love the office shortcut bar... Opinions shouldn't be used in a description of a program...

If used correctly It's very far from useless.

Really? I, too, have always found it to painful to try to use...

Maybe some fans of the office toolbar will give us examples how to use it efficiently. It just takes up too much memory and desktop real estate for me.

I think its one of the better addons from office. I have shortcut bars for programming, internet, games, Main (has my most used programs) and CDR Programs. I just need to click whichever shortcut bar I want and have instant access to any shortcut I want.

Might be misjudgement. For me it's more anoying than helping.

I have to vote with those people who find the shortcut bar very, very annoying. Aprart from that it reduces the screensize. At least MS should make it an option so it is installed on request!

I agree with many - the shortcut bar is far from useless.

Can't we all just get along? :)

I've started a poll... if you hate it or love it, vote and discuss it here.

Can't remember how 9x versions of Windows taskbar can be configured. I know Win.XP taskbar can be configured similar to the MS shortcut bar and far less annoying. However,if you would like to discuss the meaning of life contact me at gla_bella@hotmail.com

I admit that the toolbar is useful, but I don't use it, and I think it is absoulutely asinine that it is so difficult to get rid of. I just recently got a new computer with XP pre-installed, so it came with the Office toolbar. Now when I try to delete it, it won't let me, saying that I have to run the uninstall program off the MS Office install disk. WTF?! I don't have the CD- am I stuck with this?

It's quite clear to me that some people find the Office Toolbar really useful, whereas others just seem to hate it. Surely, the proper approach would be to have it as an easily accessible (and just as easy to remove) option.

However, what I really dislike is this one size must fit all attitude and intolerance to anybody else's alternative point of view.

If other users have an opinion on how to use the toolbar is a better fashion, please post the recipe.
